Job summary

Commercial Bank of Dubai in the UAE seeks an experienced finance professional to join our Financial Control team. The role supports the Senior Manager, Financial Accounting and Head of Financial Control in closing processes, fixed assets accounting and GL reconciliations, ensuring accurate reporting and robust controls.

The ideal candidate will have 7–8 years in finance or accounting, with bank or Big 4 exposure, strong IFRS knowledge, and a proven ability to improve processes and support audits

Qualifications

• 7–8 years in finance or accounting, preferably in banking or Big 4
• Post-qualification experience around 5 years is preferred
• Strong IFRS knowledge and financial reporting experience

Responsibilities

• Manage fixed assets accounting, depreciation, and asset disclosures
• Execute period-end closing and validate accounting entries
• Perform GL reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
• Support quarterly substantiation and audit readiness
• Assist with process improvements and automation opportunities
• Coordinate with stakeholders for new product accounting and system interfaces
