Job summary

Ajman University is seeking a Senior Faculty Development & Learning Innovation Specialist to advance teaching and learning aligned with the AU RISE Strategy and the Faculty Professional Development Framework.

The role supports design, coordination, and implementation of scalable faculty capability initiatives, ethical use of educational technologies, and continuous improvement in teaching quality across the University.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Higher Education, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in faculty development, teaching and learning support, or related area in higher education.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and facilitating professional development programs for faculty.
• Avance HE Fellow or Senior Fellow - Recommended

Responsibilities

• Coordinate faculty development programs, workshops, and learning resources supporting innovative, student-centered teaching.
• Develop pedagogical toolkits, guides, and resources on active learning, authentic assessment, and outcomes-based education.
• Contribute to asynchronous professional development opportunities to expand faculty access to continuous learning.
• Monitor and document progress related to teaching and learning strategic initiatives.
• Support recognition mechanisms such as teaching excellence awards and Fellowship pathways.
• Collaborate with colleges to translate teaching priorities into practical faculty capability initiatives.
• Prepare reports and institutional evidence related to teaching excellence and accreditation requirements.
