Job summary

The role involves delivering high-quality lectures, seminars, and workshops across undergraduate and postgraduate business programmes, while continuously enhancing curricula and assessments.

You will mentor students, supervise dissertations, and contribute to accreditation and quality assurance efforts.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Deliver high-quality lectures, seminars, workshops, and interactive learning sessions across undergraduate and postgraduate business programmes.
• Design, develop, review, and continuously enhance curricula, course materials, lesson plans, assessments, and learning resources in line with academic standards and industry requirements.
• Apply innovative teaching methodologies, educational technologies, and student-centred learning approaches to improve engagement and learning outcomes.
• Provide academic mentoring, tutoring, and counselling to students, monitor academic progress, and maintain accurate academic records.
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student dissertations, theses, capstone projects, and research activities, providing academic guidance throughout the research process.
• Evaluate student performance through assignments, presentations, projects, examinations, and other assessment methods, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Contribute to programme development, curriculum review, accreditation, and quality assurance initiatives to ensure continuous academic improvement.
• Lead the implementation of best practices in teaching, learning, and assessment across the department.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with industry partners to facilitate guest lectures, industry projects, internships, and collaborative initiatives.
• Participate actively in departmental and institutional committees, Open Days, student engagement activities, and other academic initiatives.
• Represent the institution through academic, professional, and industry engagement while contributing to its strategic growth and reputation.

Education and Experience

• Doctoral degree (PhD, DBA, or equivalent) in Business, Management, or a closely related discipline from a recognised institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of teaching and/or relevant industry experience in business, management, or related disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, programme review, and academic quality assurance.
• Previous experience in faculty mentoring, academic leadership, or programme coordination will be an added advantage.
