Wood is currently recruiting a Senior Expeditor for its UAE business unit. This is a full‑time onsite position in Sharjah, UAE with a travel requirement.

Responsibilities

This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Expeditor to join our UAE Business Unit. The responsibilities include:

• Establishing priorities, assigning workloads and reviewing the more difficult and complex aspects of the expediting workload.
• Responsible for the desk and field expediting of all Project Purchase Orders through to FCA readiness.
• Updating system with the expediting status of purchase orders.
• Obtaining quotations for field expediting plans and CVs of third‑party expediting providers.
• Expediting the engineering team for timely document approvals.
• Notifying Supply Chain focal points of any potential schedule slippages.
• Setting expediting follow‑up dates in the relevant system.
• Checking field expediting manufacturing schedules.
• Liaising with field expediting suppliers to coordinate expediting visits.
• Receiving field expediting progress reports and updating the relevant systems.
• Issuing expediting reports as required by the project.
• Demonstrating commitment to safe working practices.
• Demonstrating commitment to Wood’s vision, values and behaviour.
