Senior Expeditor – UAE Business Unit
Wood is recruiting for a Senior Expeditor to join its UAE business unit. Full-time onsite position in Sharjah, UAE with travel requirement.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish priorities, assign workloads and review the more difficult and complex aspects of the expediting workload.
- Responsible for the Desk and Field Expediting of all Project Purchase Orders through to FCA readiness.
- Updating system with the Expediting Status of Purchase Orders.
- Obtain quotations for field expediting plans and CV’s of 3rd party expediting providers.
- Expediting the engineering team for timely document approvals.
- Notify Supply Chain Focal Points of potential schedule slippages.
- Set Expediting follow‑up dates in the relevant system.
- Check Field Expediting Manufacturing Schedules.
- Liaise with Field Expediting Suppliers to coordinate Expediting visits.
- Receive Field Expediting Progress Reports and update relevant systems.
- Issue Expediting Reports as required by the project.
- Demonstrate commitment to safe working practices.

Qualifications
- Degree qualification.
- Minimum of 10 years expediting experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Detailed knowledge of Materials and Document Expediting Practices.
- Strong team player.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience in a similar level role.
- Previous use of ERP’s such as Maximo, Oracle, SAP.
- Broad knowledge of suppliers in the Middle East, ideally in UAE and Iraq.
