Senior Expeditor – UAE Business Unit

Wood is recruiting for a Senior Expeditor to join its UAE business unit. Full-time onsite position in Sharjah, UAE with travel requirement.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish priorities, assign workloads and review the more difficult and complex aspects of the expediting workload.
• Responsible for the Desk and Field Expediting of all Project Purchase Orders through to FCA readiness.
• Updating system with the Expediting Status of Purchase Orders.
• Obtain quotations for field expediting plans and CV’s of 3rd party expediting providers.
• Expediting the engineering team for timely document approvals.
• Notify Supply Chain Focal Points of potential schedule slippages.
• Set Expediting follow‑up dates in the relevant system.
• Check Field Expediting Manufacturing Schedules.
• Liaise with Field Expediting Suppliers to coordinate Expediting visits.
• Receive Field Expediting Progress Reports and update relevant systems.
• Issue Expediting Reports as required by the project.
• Demonstrate commitment to safe working practices.
• Demonstrate commitment to Wood's vision, values and behaviour.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification.
• Minimum of 10 years expediting experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Detailed knowledge of Materials and Document Expediting Practices.
• Strong team player.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Previous experience in a similar level role.
• Previous use of ERP’s such as Maximo, Oracle, SAP.
• Broad knowledge of suppliers in the Middle East, ideally in UAE and Iraq.
