Job description
Job Purpose

To contribute to the planning and execution of procurement operations, develop implementation mechanisms, and support the achievement of the unit’s objectives by following up on all assigned operational tasks within the relevant operational plan.

Key Responsibilities

Implement tendering procedures, prepare and submit bids, and carry out procurement operations in line with approved procedures.

Review and verify purchase requests received from all organizational units.

Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure the validity of procurement processes and maintain updated records in accordance with approved standards.

Execute any additional tasks assigned by the direct supervisor.

Enforce contract terms and identify applicable penalties for delays, if any, based on the conditions stipulated in purchase requests, and forward them to the Finance Department for necessary action.

Follow up with suppliers to ensure their capability to meet purchase order requirements and compliance with entity standards, in order to evaluate and accredit them according to applicable regulations.

Monitor suppliers and coordinate with relevant departments to process and release their payments.

Track the progress of local and international procurement plans and measure progress according to approved guidelines and best practices.
