Job summary

Dubai Healthcare City is seeking an Health and Safety Specialist to support the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE programs across the city’s assets and infrastructure.

You will assist in risk assessments, incident investigations, audits, and training to strengthen safety and regulatory compliance. Collaboration with contractors and external agencies will be essential for disaster readiness and continual improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Occupational Health & Safety or Environment Management (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant HSE experience.

Responsibilities

• Supports the implementation and continuous improvement of Health and Safety programs across Dubai Healthcare City.
• Assists in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and evaluations to mitigate operational HSE risks.
• Supports internal assessments, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance with ISO, OSHA, and Dubai Government regulations.
• Reviews and improves HSE procedures, tools, and operational practices to enhance safety and productivity.
• Assists in emergency preparedness and disaster management activities, including evacuation drills with external agencies.
• Promotes HSE awareness through training, coaching, and safety programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Provides HSE guidance, technical support, and consultation to internal departments and business partners.
• Coordinates with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and vendors to ensure compliance with HSE standards and procedures.
• Maintains HSE documentation, incident reporting systems, and prepares regular performance reports and recommendations.
• Assists with Permit to Work processes, IMS certification activities, policy updates, and monitoring changes in HSE legislation and best practices.

The role holder is responsible for working with the Specialist – Health and Safety in implementing the plans and programs related to Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) for the developed assets and infrastructure of Dubai Healthcare City, with the aim of maximizing the operational safety of these assets to support the organization’s vision in becoming a global healthcare destination.
