Job summary

Ali and Sons Holding L.L.C. seeks an experienced interior construction estimator to lead bid development from client contact through submission.

You will analyze drawings, quantify labor and materials, and build detailed cost breakdowns to ensure profitability and competitive pricing. The role requires collaboration with PMs, architects, and subcontractors to refine scope, manage risks, and optimize strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 7-10 years of progressive interior construction estimating experience.
• Proven expertise in estimating complex commercial, hospitality, or high-end residential interior projects.
• Fluency in English; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of accurate and competitive bids for interior construction projects from initial client contact through bid submission.
• Analyze architectural drawings, specifications and bid documents to quantify labor, materials and equipment needs.
• Develop detailed cost breakdowns including direct costs, indirect costs and profit margins to ensure profitability and market competitiveness.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects and subcontractors to refine scope, identify risks and optimize strategies.
• Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms and reliable service.
• Prepare comprehensive bid proposals including scope of work exclusions and value-added propositions.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for project challenges to control costs.
• Mentor and guide junior estimators to uphold estimating best practices and company standards.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, new materials, and construction technologies to improve estimating accuracy.
• Perform post-bid analysis and project close-out activities to refine future estimating efforts.

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field

Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience specifically in interior construction estimating

Proven expertise in estimating complex commercial, hospitality, or high-end residential interior projects

Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, CostX, Sage Estimating)

Strong understanding of interior construction methods, materials, finishes, and building codes

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail

Excellent negotiation and communication abilities, with the capacity to build rapport with diverse stakeholders

Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines

Professional certifications such as CCM or AACE are highly advantageous

Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional languages is a plus
