Job summary

SEHA seeks a Consultant ENT Surgeon in Abu Dhabi to provide expert diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of ENT conditions in adults and children. The role requires leadership in operative and perioperative care, with collaboration across audiology, oncology, pediatrics, and internal medicine to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The candidate will supervise junior doctors and contribute to training programs, while ensuring accurate documentation in SEHA’s EHR and participation in audits

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Residency in Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery from a recognized program.
• Board Certification in ENT / Otolaryngology (e.g., American Board, FRCS, Arab Board).
• Valid DOH Consultant License in Otolaryngology or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of ENT disorders including hearing loss, sinusitis, nasal obstruction, tonsillitis, sleep apnea, vertigo, voice disorders, and tumors.
• Lead operative and perioperative care for ENT patients to ensure optimal recovery.
• Perform outpatient assessments and surgeries (e.g., endoscopic sinus surgery, tonsillectomy, tympanoplasty, septoplasty).
• Collaborate with audiology, speech therapy, oncology, pediatrics, and internal medicine for holistic care.
• Supervise junior doctors, residents, and staff; contribute to training and education programs.
• Document clinical notes, procedures, and follow-ups accurately in SEHA’s EHR.
• Participate in clinical audits, research, morbidity/mortality reviews, and QI initiatives.
• Adhere to SEHA and DOH infection control, patient safety, ethics, and consent practices.

Education

MBBS or equivalent

Residency in Otolaryngology / Head & Neck Surgery

Board Certification in ENT / Otolaryngology

DOH Consultant License in Otolaryngology
