Job summary

Al Rostamani Group of Companies LLC in Dubai seeks an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise IP network services, including core routers, switches, firewalls, and WiFi solutions. This role will involve installation, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance to meet design parameters.

You will collaborate with customers and partners, prepare LLD/HLD documents, and provide timely project reporting.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Diploma engineer in Electronics, Telecom, IT or Computer Science.
• Minimum 8 years of enterprise network implementation and support experience.
• Good knowledge of converged networks, security, routers, switches, firewall and network management software.
• Cisco networking and WiFi solution experience; other brands appreciated.
• Strong IP addressing, IPv4/IPv6, and subnetting understanding.

Responsibilities

• Installing, configuring and maintaining enterprise network hardware and applications.
• Plan, configure and implement data network infrastructure & WiFi in coordination with customers, principals, service providers, and partners to meet design parameters.
• Installation and configuration of firewalls.
• Providing post-sales support to customers.
• Acting as SME and assisting with technical support issues as needed.
• Assist Technical Managers in new product & tools development and evaluation.
• Submit weekly reports on operations and projects with cost savings.
• Troubleshoot and provide solutions for complex multi-vendor data networks.
• Provide support for project implementation & documentation.
• Preparation / validation of LLD, HLD and related documents.
• Any other tasks as directed by line manager within scope of work.

The purpose of this position is to support and maintain the network and our customer base. The main focus of this engineer will be implementing and maintaining IP network services and may extend to core routers, switches, servers, and applications, as necessary. The network engineer will be involved in network installation, configuration, Trouble shooting etc.

Job Responsibilities

• Installing, configuring and maintaining enterprise level network hardware and applications.
• Plan, configure and implement data network infrastructure & WiFi Infrastructure in co-ordination with customers, principals, service providers, and business partners to ensure implementation meets design parameters.
• Installation and configuration of firewalls
• Providing post-sales support to customers.
• Acting as Subject Matter Expert and assisting with technical support issues as and when required
• Assist Technical Managers in new product & tools development and evaluation (including 3rd party Products)
• Submit weekly reports on all operations and projects to the management clearly showing escalations where required along with project based cost savings
• Troubleshoot and provide solution in a timely manner for complex multi-vendor data network.
• Provide support for project implementation & documentation.
• Preparation / validation of LLD, HLD and other project related documents
• Any other additional tasks the line manager may give and is within the scope of work

Job Requirements

• Qualifications
• Graduate / Diploma engineer in Electronics / Telecom / IT/ computer science
• Experience
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Enterprise Network Implementation and Support
• Certifications
• Knowledge & Skills
• Good knowledge in converge network, Wireless, Security, Routers, Switches, Firewall and Network Management Software.
• Knowledge in SDN solutions
• Good implementation and troubleshooting knowledge in Cisco networking & wifi solutions. Other networking products like HP, Huawei, Cambium will be an added advantage
• Good implementation and troubleshooting knowledge in at least one firewall product (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto or Checkpoint)
• Must have full network lifecycle experience including gathering requirements, test, documentation, configuration and maintenance.
• Good knowledge of IP addressing and (IPV4/IPV6) and subnetting and routing.
• Good knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP, UDP, SNMP, FTP, TFTP and Netflow/Sflow etc
• Good understanding of LDAP, DNS, Radius and TACACS+ etc
• Liaising with project management team, superiors and service desk engineers on a regular basis
• Excellent relationship building skills
