Sener in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Senior Engineer – Building Structures to support the design and delivery of complex rail and metro infrastructure within the Landbridge Program. This role focuses on engineering excellence, collaboration with civil, architectural, geotechnical, MEP, and project management teams, and delivering projects to client specifications.

As part of our growing involvement in major Rail & Metro projects across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, we are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer – Building Structures to support the design and delivery of complex transportation infrastructure within the Landbridge Program.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled structural engineer with rail infrastructure experience who is passionate about technical excellence, multidisciplinary collaboration, and delivering world-class engineering solutions.

Key Job Responsibilities:

As a Senior Engineer – Building Structures, you will:

• Develop and review structural designs for Rail & Metro infrastructure projects, including stations, depots, maintenance facilities, operational buildings, bridges, and associated structures.

• Carry out structural analysis and design for reinforced concrete, steel, composite, and other structural systems.

• Prepare and review engineering calculations, design reports, technical specifications, drawings, and project documentation.

• Coordinate structural engineering activities with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, architectural, geotechnical, MEP, rail systems, and project management disciplines.

• Ensure designs comply with project requirements, applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.

• Participate in design reviews, technical workshops, value engineering exercises, and constructability assessments.

• Support interface management activities and resolve technical challenges across project disciplines.

• Assist discipline leads and project managers in monitoring design progress, technical quality, schedules, and resource requirements.

• Review technical submissions, design modifications, shop drawings, and engineering deliverables.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, technical innovation, and the implementation of engineering best practices.

Job Requirements:

• Masters Degree in Structural Engineering is an advantage.

• Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or equivalent professional accreditation is desirable.

• Minimum 10 years of structural engineering design experience.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Rail and Metro infrastructure projects (mandatory).

• Proven experience designing transportation-related structures, including stations, depots, operational buildings, and infrastructure facilities.

• Experience working on major Rail, Metro, High-Speed Rail, or Integrated Transportation projects.

• Strong expertise in reinforced concrete and structural steel design.

• Proven experience using structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, STAAD Pro, Robot Structural Analysis, or equivalent.

• Strong knowledge of international design standards and codes, including Eurocodes, ACI, AISC, BS Standards, and related regulations.

• Experience preparing structural calculations, reports, specifications, and construction documentation.

• Experience supporting projects through concept, detailed design, tender, and construction support stages.
