Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a senior consultant to join our consulting group. The role is hybrid: three days in the office and two days remote, based in Dubai, focusing on power industry consulting across renewable energy, battery storage, and utility planning.

You will provide technical consulting and advisory services to power project developers, conduct independent engineering and due‑diligence for lenders, and lead teams using data, automation and AI to improve

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or civil engineering (other engineering disciplines may be considered).
• Master’s degree in an engineering discipline or business (e.g., MBA) – preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in the power industry, including experience in independent engineering and due diligence, power project development, conventional (combined cycle) and/or renewable construction management.
• Experience in project finance or financial modelling of power projects – plus.
• Experience with owner’s engineering activities during power project execution – plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience writing technical reports and proposals.
• Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work with and guide others.

• Knowledge of automation workflows and exposure to computer science, AI or related fields is valued.
