Job summary

EDGE, headquartered in the United Arab Emirates, seeks a Senior Embedded Software Verification Engineer for Halcon to lead verification and DT&E activities for embedded software. You will manage requirements, test procedures, traceability, and reporting, while guiding junior engineers and supporting software qualification/certification efforts.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic/Computer Engineering and 8+ years in software engineering, including 2+ years in software DT&E, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in software DT&E.
• Strong experience in embedded software verification, including black-box/white-box testing, requirements management, traceability, and software system/subsystem DT&E.
• Proficiency in C and Python, with experience using GIT or SVN and requirements management tools such as Jama.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage software verification plans, test procedures, test reports, and requirements traceability across product variants.
• Plan, coordinate, and lead embedded software testing and DT&E activities, including test benches, simulators, resources, and test teams.
• Drive the investigation and resolution of test failures, deviations, and verification issues, ensuring requirements are successfully verified.
• Prepare and maintain Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP), VCRMs, and technical documentation, while mentoring junior verification engineers.
