Job summary

EDGE is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer with a strong background in embedded systems and aviation software testing to lead a rigorous QA function in Abu Dhabi. You will design and execute comprehensive tests, ensure DO-178C compliance, and drive automated testing initiatives across CI pipelines.

The role requires 7+ years in aerospace software testing, a relevant engineering degree, and hands-on experience with test automation tools including Rapita.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE/EE or related field.
• 7+ years in software testing for embedded systems in aerospace/defense.
• Experience with RTCA DO-178C standards and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in test case development, plans, and procedures.
• Experience with test automation tools; Rapita Suite preferred.
• Strong knowledge of JIRA and Atlassian for defect tracking and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain test cases from requirements and design docs.
• Execute manual and automated tests against functional, performance, and safety requirements.
• Ensure compliance with RTCA DO-178C in safety-critical environments.
• Manage the full testing lifecycle: planning, execution, defect reporting, completion.
• Oversee testing for embedded and avionics-related systems.
• Mentor the team on test automation and CI best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement in QA strategies and methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system integration and validation.
