Job summary

TASC Outsourcing in the UAE is seeking a Senior Electrician – O&M Power to support operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems within power and utility environments. The role focuses on ensuring reliability and safety across substations and distribution systems.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, read schematics, and coordinate with engineers and technicians while following PTW and LOTO procedures. GCC/UAE power experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI/technical qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Trade.
• Experience in Power, Utilities, Substations, Electrical Distribution, or O&M.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• GCC/UAE power or utility experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Knowledge of safety, PTW and LOTO procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and carry out repairs.
• Maintain switchgear, transformers, MCCs, distribution panels and related power equipment.
• Support maintenance across substations and distribution systems.
• Carry out electrical testing, isolation, energization, and shutdown activities.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
• Follow maintenance schedules and SOPs; maintain records.

Job description

• Function: Operations & Maintenance – Power
• Employment Type: Full-Time / Project-Based
• We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrician – O&M Power to support the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems within power and utility environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and carry out necessary repairs.
• Maintain and inspect switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, MCCs, distribution panels, and related power equipment.
• Support operation and maintenance activities across substations and power distribution systems.
• Carry out electrical testing, isolation, energization, and shutdown activities as required.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
• Ensure equipment is maintained in line with approved maintenance schedules and SOPs.
• Respond to breakdowns and operational emergencies promptly.
• Support testing and commissioning activities where required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and work logs.
• Follow all HSE, electrical safety, LOTO, and permit-to-work procedures.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and technicians during maintenance and shutdown activities.
• Guide junior electricians and support safe execution of assigned work.

Requirements

• Diploma / ITI / Technical qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Trade.
• Relevant experience in Power, Utilities, Substations, Electrical Distribution, or O&M.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Switchgear
• Transformers
• MCCs
• Electrical Panels
• Power Distribution Systems
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
• Good understanding of electrical safety, PTW, and LOTO procedures.
• GCC / UAE power or utility experience preferred.
