Job summary

NADIA Recruitment & Management Consultants is seeking a Senior Electrical Technician for our client in Abu Dhabi. The role covers installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems across the facility to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable operations.

Responsibilities include inspecting and maintaining electrical systems, diagnosing faults, testing components, and documenting all work.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation within industrial, construction, or facilities environments.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and industrial control panels.
• Proficiency in using electrical testing tools such as multimeters, insulation testers, and clamp meters.
• Good analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Solid understanding of safety standards, electrical codes, and best practices in electrical maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, panels, lighting systems, and fixtures in accordance with approved drawings and standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in machinery, circuits, and systems, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Test electrical systems and components using appropriate instruments to verify functionality and compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service reports, and documentation of all completed work.
• Assist in upgrading electrical systems and implementing modifications to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and other electrical safety protocols.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other technical staff to ensure project timelines and specifications are met.
• Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of electrical materials and components.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians as needed.
