Job summary

Egis in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, seeks an experienced Electrical Inspector - Site to ensure safety and compliance of electrical installations on construction sites across the region.

This role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and at least eight years of on-site inspection experience, with travel across the UAE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical inspection.
• Proficiency in UAE electrical regulations and codes.
• Experience reading electrical drawings and schematics.
• Ability to travel to various UAE sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems on construction sites to ensure compliance with UAE codes and standards.
• Review and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Perform tests on electrical installations using specialized equipment to verify safety and functionality.
• Identify and document electrical deficiencies, code violations, and safety hazards.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to resolve electrical issues and ensure timely project completion.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of all inspections and findings.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in electrical codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Provide guidance to improve electrical safety and efficiency on construction sites.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings to discuss electrical requirements and potential challenges.
