Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer in Abu Dhabi to lead design analysis and implementation of electrical systems for nuclear facilities. The role requires deep technical expertise, project leadership, and a strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams, manage electrical scope, review technical docs and vendor proposals, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring operational readiness and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in electrical engineering with at least 3 years in the nuclear industry.
• Familiarity with nuclear regulatory requirements and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical systems including power distribution, instrumentation and control, and DC systems.
• Perform engineering analyses such as load flow, short circuit, arc flash, and protective relay settings using industry-standard tools.
• Manage electrical scope within nuclear projects including estimates, schedules, progress tracking, and resource planning.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, procurement specifications, and vendor proposals.
• Ensure compliance with nuclear safety standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct inspections, troubleshoot electrical issues, and oversee maintenance and repair activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical training and development programs.
• Develop emergency response plans for electrical system failures and support operational readiness.

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to be based in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates. The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead the design analysis and implementation of electrical systems for nuclear facilities. Your role

About you

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
