Job summary

KBR Corporate Inhouse Engineering in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design activities for Oil & Gas projects. You will ensure safe, high-quality deliverables and mentor junior engineers while coordinating with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include developing specifications, datasheets, calculations and drawings, reviewing layouts, and ensuring alignment with project standards and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience in oil & gas projects.
• Proficiency in electrical design software and tools.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards and regulations.
• Experience designing and implementing electrical systems for oil & gas projects.
• Ability to perform electrical calculations and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Execute Electrical design activities within Concept FEED and Detail Engineering for Oil & Gas projects.
• Ensure high-quality, safe and timely delivery of electrical design deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and coordinate with multi-discipline teams and clients.
• Manage and handle detailed design and engineering activities for the project.
• Develop electrical specifications, datasheets, calculations and drawings in compliance with project requirements.
• Review and approve electrical design plans and layouts.

Job Purpose

• Execute Electrical design activities within Concept FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) and Detail Engineering for Oil & Gas projects.
• Ensure high-quality safe and timely delivery of Electrical design and related deliverables in accordance with project requirements international codes and standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and coordinate with multi-discipline teams and clients.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and handle detailed design and engineering activities for the project.
• Develop electrical specifications datasheets calculations and drawings in compliance with project requirements and standards.
• Review and approve electrical design plans and layouts.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and client to ensure the integration of electrical systems into the overall project design.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Attend site visit and inspection to ensure compliance with electrical codes and standards if required
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.
• Participate in project meetings to address electrical engineering related issues.
• Perform Technical Bid Evaluation and vendor document review.
