Job summary

AECOM seeks a Senior Engineer - Environment in Dubai to lead end-to-end Environmental Impact Assessments for multidisciplinary infrastructure programs across the UAE and GCC. You will own scope, schedule, budget, risks and quality while mentoring junior staff and contributing to client development.

The role emphasizes technical delivery across EIA/ESIA disciplines, regulator engagement and applying international standards within UAE/GCC regulatory contexts.

Responsibilities

• Leadership and Ownership: Lead the planning, management and delivery of EIAs/ESIAs from screening and scoping through to approvals, conditions management and post-consent obligations.
• Technical Delivery (EIA/ESIA): Direct and author high-quality, regulator-ready EIA/ESIA chapters and integrated assessments, ensuring robust baseline definition and mitigation hierarchy.
• Regulatory and Stakeholder Interface: Engage with regulators and authorities; manage consultations and respond to formal feedback.
• Commercial and Work Winning: Lead and contribute to proposals, pricing, risk registers and execution plans; support pipeline development.
• Multidisciplinary Coordination: Integrate EIA deliverables with planning, architecture, engineering and program management outputs.
• Digital, Quality and Safety: Utilize GIS and QA/QC processes; promote safety culture and uphold standards.
