We are seeking a dynamic and highly organised Deputy Editor to join our print and digital editorial team and play a key role in shaping the voice, quality, and creativity of our publications. This position offers the opportunity to work across our leading women’s title, men’s title, and jewellery & watch edition. This role supports the Editor and wider team in delivering world‑class content and inspiring storytelling.
The ideal candidate will have a sharp editorial eye, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage projects from concept to completion: from developing features and managing contributors to overseeing shoots and ensuring a consistent editorial tone across print, digital, and social platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Editor to develop, plan, and execute editorial content in line with the brand’s voice and vision.
- Commission, edit, and refine copy for features, interviews, and special projects.
- Support the planning and execution of photoshoots from concept development to production coordination and final layout review.
- Manage contributor relationships and liaise with writers, stylists, photographers, and PR contacts.
- Manage content flow and ensure deadlines are met and production schedules are maintained across all publications and platforms.
- Generate creative ideas for editorial features, special issues, and brand collaborations.
- Oversee fact‑checking, tone, and quality control to maintain editorial excellence.
- Contribute to content strategy discussions and help drive innovation across titles.
- Represent the brand at key industry events, launches, and shoots when required.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar editorial role within magazines, lifestyle media, or related fields.
- Regional experience in the Middle East is preferred.
- Strong writing, editing, and commissioning abilities with an eye for detail and tone.
- A keen understanding of luxury, fashion, lifestyle, and culture within both the Middle East and international markets.
- Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Confident communicator who thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
- Experience in photoshoot production and creative direction is highly desirable.
