Job summary

Wood is seeking a qualified engineer to lead site development planning and utility design for major energy projects. The role involves preparing BoQs, reviewing E&I drawings, and ensuring work aligns with safety and project schedules. GCC experience is highly preferred.

The candidate will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, participate in progress meetings, and contribute to continuous improvement and compliance with UAE regulations.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institute.
• Minimum of ten (10+) years experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, GCC region preferred.

Responsibilities

• Study and prepare site development plans, including earthwork calculations.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQs) for earthworks under the direction of the Lead Electrical/Instrument Engineer.
• Design underground utility networks (storm water, sanitary water, oily water, etc.).
• Ensure all activities are completed within man-hour budgets and time schedules.
• Assist in preparing project-related standards and job notes for projects.
• Perform engineering design calculations and prepare design sketches.
• Review and comment on drawings related to E&I scope.
• Review supplier drawings and other discipline drawings.
• Attend progress meetings and assist in preparing project progress reports.
• Advise on schedule slippages, causes, and corrective actions.
• Assist in preparing contract requisitions and schedules of quantities for underground utilities.
• Liaise with construction personnel and address site queries.
• Execute all assigned work adhering to safety, health, and environmental standards.
