Job summary

Ocean Consulting Services in Dubai is building its technology team and seeks a strong .NET Developer to join as one of the first engineers in the office. You will work on Windows desktop applications with .NET/C#, and collaborate across regions to shape the foundation of the Dubai engineering function.

You will apply hands-on debugging, work with Rust where needed, and use AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot to accelerate delivery while maintaining code quality

Ocean Consulting Services is building its Dubai technology team, and we are looking for a strong .NET Developer to join as one of the first engineers in the office.

We are looking for someone with strong .NET/C# experience, experience with Windows applications, exposure to Rust, and real hands‑on experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.

This is a hands‑on role for a practical developer who can work on existing systems, improve products, solve technical problems, and help build the foundation of our Dubai engineering team.

For the first people joining, this is an opportunity to have a real impact on building the foundation of a new technology team in Dubai, as part of a distributed technology organization working across regions.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Windows desktop applications.
• Work mainly with .NET, and also with Rust where needed.
• Improve and maintain existing products and internal systems.
• Work with AI‑assisted development tools as part of the daily development process.
• Use tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools to improve development speed, quality, debugging, and productivity.
• Investigate bugs, performance issues, and production problems.
• Work closely with product and engineering teams across different locations.
• Contribute to technical decisions, code quality, and development standards.

What we are looking for

• Strong hands‑on experience with .NET / C#.
• Experience working in a Windows development environment.
• Experience with Rust, or strong willingness and ability to work with Rust as part of the role.
• Real hands‑on experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.
• Strong debugging and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work on existing systems, understand how they work, and improve them.
• Independent, practical developer with ownership and good communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience working close to Windows APIs, system‑level components, or desktop product infrastructure.
• Experience with performance optimization.
• Experience with installers, updates, desktop distribution, or client‑side product infrastructure.
