Job summary

Hired seeks an Engineering Expert to provide architectural guidance, diagnose complex production issues, and optimize distributed systems for scale and reliability. You will shape technical strategy and mentor engineers.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to ensure robust, secure, and scalable solutions across platforms, cloud environments, and containerized deployments.

Qualifications

• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, or large-scale backend infrastructure.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, Go, or Rust.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving complex technical challenges.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to write clear technical documentation and communicate architectural decisions effectively.

Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate scalable system architectures to meet evolving business and technical requirements.
• Diagnose and resolve high-priority technical issues in production environments with minimal downtime.
• Develop and document engineering best practices, standards, and guidelines for cross-team adoption.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to quality and security standards.
