Job summary

Client of Discovered MENA in Dubai is seeking a Digital Product Owner to lead a single product end-to-end within a growing digital function of a financial services organisation.

You will turn business needs into clear user stories, work with engineering using Agile practices, and stand up the product from concept to live release. The role sits within a formal build phase with backing and a clear path to broader strategic product work.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years in a product owner or similar role within Agile teams.
• Real exposure to the insurance world, via insurer or consultancy with financial services clients.
• Strong communication across a busy organisation; cross-functional collaboration.
• Comfort with AI and its direction; hands-on welcome but solid theory ok.
• Familiar with Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence; technical background a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own one product from first idea through to launch taking full responsibility for its delivery.
• Turn business needs into clear user stories specifications and prioritised backlog items.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and spot chances to improve the product.
• Run the product in an Agile way leading sprint planning stand ups reviews and retrospectives.
• Act as the main point of contact between engineering internal teams and stakeholders.
• Work with engineering on test plans so releases are solid before they ship.
• Track the right metrics and feed what you learn back into the product.
• Oversee product support so user issues are resolved quickly and properly.

We are hiring a Digital Product Owner to join the digital team of an established financial services organisation in Dubai as they push through a major phase of their digital build This is a genuine ownership role for someone who wants to take one product from concept to a live release not sit at arm s length managing a roadmap You will be joining a well established business partway through a serious digital transformation standing up new products across several of its lines Rather than experimenting at the edges they are investing properly in a growing digital function of product owners analysts and delivery managers It is a real build phase with proper backing and a clear appetite to do things well The focus here is one specific product owned end to end You will handle the technical detail and the delivery turning business needs into something engineering teams can build against This sits apart from the delivery managers who track progress across every project because your remit is depth on a single product rather than breadth across many As the current work matures the role is expected to grow into wider strategic product work so there is a clear path forward

• Comfort with AI and where it is heading Hands on experience is welcome but a solid theoretical grasp is enough
• Confidence with the usual product tools and ways of working such as Agile Scrum JIRA and Confluence A technical background is welcome as long as those tools are familiar to you
• A degree in computer science engineering or a related field is useful
