Job summary

AECOM is seeking a BIM Coordinator in the UAE to lead BIM coordination on small to mid-size projects and align deliverables with ISO 19650 and client standards.

The role requires about 8 years of experience with 5 in BIM coordination, a relevant engineering degree, and BIM accreditation. You will train teams, manage the Common Data Environment, perform QA/QC, and support the BIM Manager across project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience, with at least 5 in BIM coordination.
• Engineering degree with BIM accreditation recommended; familiarity with ISO 19650 and PAS 1192.
• Experience training practice-line and Digital/BIM teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage BIM on small-to-medium projects and ensure adherence to client BIM standards.
• Author BIM/GIS execution plans and project documentation.
• Lead BIM coordination meetings, resolve model issues, and QA/QC checks.

Job description

• Manages BIM implementation on small-to medium-size projects.
• Practice-line and Digital/BIM team training.
• Responsible the setting up of the project Common Data Environment subjected to the project size and do the orientation for the project teams.
• Authoring of project BIM & GIS execution plans project reports and any other BIM-related project documentation required.
• Attending the Clients BIM Kick off meeting and addressing the clients requirements.
• Working with project delivery team members to resolve technical model problems and ensure their understanding of project office and/or client BIM standards.
• Performs model QA/QC checks on projects.
• Contributes to the development of processes procedures templates and model content.
• Creation and maintenance of the federated model with its related clash sets assuring it is aligned with the client requirements and projects scope.
• Chair design coordination and clash detection sessions.
• Preparing Project Template models.
• Ensure teams are working on CDE according to AECOM BIM Standards.
• Supporting the BIM Manager in the creation of the TQR review process on the CDE. and responsible of the maintenanceof the TQR workflows during the lifecycle of the project.
• Keeping up to date with the industry BIM technology and workflows.

Qualifications

• Generally has between 8 years of experience of which 5 should be in BIM coordination
• Degree in relevant engineering e.g. Civil structural or other relevant BSc Degree. BIM accreditation/certificate recommended. Familiarity of ISO 19650 and BS n PAS 1192
