Job summary

Emirates in Dubai seeks a Senior Technical DevOps Engineer for the Container Platform to strengthen our global IT operations. You will drive cloud adoption, automate deployments, and ensure service resilience across critical applications in a fast‑moving airline environment.

You will collaborate with architects, security and development teams to implement scalable DevSecOps, manage CI/CD pipelines, and optimize monitoring, incident response and platform reliability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, Linux, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD, GitOps, Helm, container security, and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the discovery phase of Cloud adoption/migration with Architects and Security to strategize DevOps and Cloud architectures.
• Lead automation of change management, building resiliency, monitoring, capacity planning and incident response for assigned products.
• Act as a lead for service reliability, scalability and performance for a set of products within the enablement team.
• Review deployment and operational environments, execute initiatives to reduce failure, troubleshoot, expand monitoring, and manage operations.
• Collaborate with Release Engineering, Product Development and Security to develop change management strategies (canary deployments, safe releases).
• Enable automation of everything and ensure continuous deployment pipeline health and design quality.
• Build, maintain and operate environments for CI/CD based on cloud design principles such as 12-factor apps.
• Embrace DevSecOps to advise and architect security solutions with engineering and product teams.
• Be an advisor to drive maintenance of solutions automating environment management and cyber security aspects.
• Apply Site reliability principles to ensure availability, latency, performance, and capacity planning.
