Job summary

Cinergie Digital is seeking a Senior Database Developer to design, build, and maintain enterprise data warehouse solutions in an AWS-based environment. The role emphasizes scalable data models, high-volume query optimization, and robust ETL/ELT pipelines, with collaboration across BI and data engineering teams.

You will lead performance tuning, automate processes with Python/PySpark, and mentor junior developers while supporting production deployments in an Agile setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in hands-on database development, including at least 5 years in Oracle SQL/PLSQL.
• Strong expertise with Amazon Redshift and AWS data services (S3, Glue, EMR).
• Experience with Dimensional Modeling and high-volume data integration pipelines.
• Proficient in Python/PySpark for data processing and workflow automation.
• Git proficiency and experience delivering features in Agile teams.
• Hands-on with BI/Reporting tools: Power BI, MicroStrategy, or Tableau.

Key Responsibilities

• Database Architecture: Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise database and data warehouse solutions that drive business intelligence, analytics, and operational reporting.
• Advanced Development: Develop, optimize, and document complex stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and views to support core business logic.
• Data Engineering: Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT processes to integrate data from diverse sources, ensuring data quality, lineage, and integrity.
• Performance Engineering: Lead performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and partitioning strategies for high-volume, mission-critical environments.
• Automation: Utilize Python and PySpark to automate database processes, data integration workflows, and monitoring solutions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with BI analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications for tools such as Power BI, MicroStrategy, or Tableau.
• Production Excellence: Manage deployments, conduct rigorous code reviews, and provide 24/7 production support, including incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Leadership: Mentor junior developers, contribute to technical strategy, and uphold development best practices within an Agile framework.
