Job summary

GebX Technology Solutions seeks a Senior Data Scientist (Machine Learning) to drive data-driven initiatives across learning and development, competency development, and internship programs. The role partners with leadership and regional stakeholders to implement strategies aligned with business goals.

The position is based in the United Arab Emirates and focuses on designing, developing, implementing and monitoring learning products and services, with data analysis and audits of training

Responsibilities

• Identify individual and organisational development needs and translate them into learning interventions.
• Review Training Needs Analysis and align on roadmaps and budgets for continuous improvement.
• Implement and monitor training plans, roadmaps, and programs to meet changing business needs.
• Audit administrative procedures to comply with ISO requirements.
• Enhance the Learning Management System (LMS) to support a learning organisation.
• Consolidate and enhance the competency framework to support employee assessment and development.
• Implement competency assurance processes to support career progression.
• Provide guidance during assessments to ensure objective, compliant evaluations.
• Develop and maintain competency profiles to drive development interventions.
• Contribute to establishing an in-house academy, as applicable.
• Assess organisational effectiveness through regular leadership interactions to improve culture and productivity.
• Ensure Borouge’s presence at career fairs, talks, and industry events.
• Drive collaboration with universities for overseas and local internship programs.
• Support evaluation of leaders to identify gaps and implement leadership development programs.
• Help implement an in-house leadership mentor pool to strengthen the pipeline.
• Assist in planning People Day processes for talent reviews and succession planning.
• Coach high potentials on growth via development programs and learning recommendations.

Job description

Senior Data Scientist (Machine Learning)

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Talent Management, you are responsible to manage the areas of learning & development, competency development, internship within functions of Borouge PTE. He/she will require to support in Talent management and succession planning as and when, as applicable.Involvement in designing, developing, implementing and monitoring of products and service; review policies and procedures, perform data analysis and audits on training effectiveness according to business requirements and internal SOPs.Displays maturity and excellent interpersonal skill with desire to work closely with leadership team and regional stakeholders to implement strategies and plan.This position is based in Singapore.

Key Accountabilities:

• Learning & DevelopmentIdentifying individual and organisational level development needs, and ability to translate needs to learning interventionsReview company/regional Training Needs Analysis (include data collection, analysis, recommendations) with a view towards establishing organisation development solutionsManage implementation of existing training plans, training budgets, training roadmaps and training programs for continuous improvement to meet changing business needsManage implementation of administrative procedures such as audit findings to comply with ISO requirementsImplement enhancement on Learning Management System (LMS) to support build-up of Learning Organsiation
• Competency System ManagementConsolidate and enhance competency framework to build competency based system for employee assessment and developmentImplement competency assurance process to support employee career progressionProvide advice to employees during competency assessment to ensure process compliance and objective assessmentImplement competency roadmaps to align with organisation changing needsReview and maintain competency profiles to support employee development interventionsContribute to the establishment of in-house academy, as applicable.
