Job summary

Al-Futtaim is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead advanced ML models for demand forecasting and pricing optimization. The role emphasizes GenAI, MLOps, and cross-functional collaboration to embed data-driven solutions across the business.

You'll design forecasting models (ARIMA, XGBoost, LSTM), build dynamic pricing, analyze CLV, and ensure robust model performance. This is a leadership-heavy role with cloud deployment on Azure and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Masters degree or higher in statistics, data science, ML, mathematics or CS.
• 10+ years of experience in data science.
• 5+ years in demand forecasting, price optimization, and customer analytics.
• Strong hands-on experience with ARIMA, XGBoost, LSTM, and OR models.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Databricks, and cloud platforms (Azure, GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy demand forecasting models using traditional and ML techniques.
• Leverage GenAI to enhance forecasting accuracy via scenario simulations.
• Implement dynamic pricing models based on demand, inventory, and competition.
• Analyze customer behavior with clustering and CLV predictions for pricing strategies.
• Monitor and fine-tune model performance with MAE, RMSE, and classification metrics.
• Apply MLOps practices for deployment, testing, and monitoring across environments.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, and sales to align forecasting with business goals.
• Deploy and scale models on Azure with CI/CD and monitoring tools.
