Job summary

Emirates Group is seeking a Senior Data Quality & Automation Engineer to join the Analytics Centre of Excellence. You will shape test strategies, build automated data quality checks, and support analytics solutions across Emirates Airlines and group businesses.

As part of a cross-functional team, you will work with product owners, data engineers, and architects to refine requirements and translate them into robust acceptance tests. Strong Python/Scala and SQL skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field; Data & Analytics is a plus.
• 2+ years in data engineering with focus on quality and automation.
• Experience in analytics apps like Data Lake/Warehouse; Big Data stack and Azure cloud preferred.
• Experience identifying quality issues across complex data pipelines and defining validation rules.
• Strong testing methods cover functional, performance, security across pipelines and jobs.
• CI pipelines with automated checks to validate ETL/ELT jobs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners, analysts, engineers to translate requirements into tests.
• Build test strategies and plans for data quality, performance, security.
• Design and build automated tests across data pipelines with good coding practices.
• Debug complex issues and resolve blockers with minimal supervision.
• Conduct data analysis: source system analysis, data profiling, mapping.
• Assist in updating data inventories and metadata lineage following governance standards.
