Job summary

Hantec Trader is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data platforms within the Microsoft data ecosystem. You will develop modern data pipelines, automate workflows, and support AI initiatives to empower analytics across the organization.

You'll redesign SQL code and data models, implement ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Data Lake, and collaborate with analysts to deliver reliable datasets and semantic models for reporting and BI.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Senior Data Engineer.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
• Strong SQL Server development experience with performance tuning.
• Experience designing and maintaining enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Knowledge of data warehouse, lakehouse, and dimensional modeling.

Responsibilities

• Redesign and refactor SQL code, data models, and data structures.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Azure tools.
• Design scalable data warehouse and lakehouse architectures.
• Develop automated data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines.
• Implement data validation, quality checks, monitoring, and automated workflows.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts to deliver clean datasets and semantic models for reports.
• Optimize SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD deployment processes for data solutions.
• Drive automation initiatives with Power Automate.
• Support AI and Copilot initiatives by preparing data for AI-powered solutions.
