Job summary

Client of Salt is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build scalable data pipelines and data products that support analytics, AI and business self-service. You will work across cloud platforms, operational systems and integration services to create a trusted, secure and high-quality enterprise data environment.

5+ years in data or software engineering, strong Python/SQL, and hands-on Azure, Databricks, Snowflake and cloud experience are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or software engineering.
• Strong Python and SQL with solid ETL/ELT and data modelling experience.
• Hands-on experience with Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS or GCP.
• Experience building batch and streaming pipelines, data lakes/lakehouses, APIs and event-driven integrations.
• Strong understanding of data quality, observability, lineage and CI/CD.
• Experience supporting AI/ML data workloads is a strong plus.
• Aviation, cargo, logistics or asset-intensive industry experience is highly desirable.
