Job summary

WSP in the Middle East seeks an experienced Associate Director – Mission Critical & Data Centres (Electrical) in Dubai. You’ll lead end-to-end data centre design and delivery, interfacing with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance from inception to completion.

You will mentor engineering teams, drive standardization, and contribute to business growth through technical proposals and client engagements across UAE & KSA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in planning, designing, and delivering large-scale data centers, including multiple Uptime Tier III/IV projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate stakeholders in complex, matrixed environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data centre projects as the single technical authority.
• Design and approve electrical and mechanical systems (UPS, generators, switchgear, HVAC, BMS, fire protection).
• Mentor engineering teams and drive knowledge transfer across regions.
• Align with international standards (Uptime Institute, TIA-942, NFPA, ASHRAE) and local regulations.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure successful delivery.
