Job summary

Intelligent Solutions, in partnership with a leading insurance company in the UAE, seeks a Senior Data Analyst to design and operationalize a data analytics ecosystem supporting health, life, marine and aviation lines.

Responsibilities include building scalable ETL pipelines, dashboards, and analytics frameworks; aligning with governance and regulatory standards; collaborating with data science for predictive modelling and feature engineering. On-site in Dubai.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, engineering, CS or related field.
• 57 years of experience in data engineering or analytics preferably in insurance or financial services.
• Advanced skills in SQL Power BI/Tableau and ETL tools; proficiency in Python or R.
• Knowledge of insurance data structures and regulatory reporting in the UAE.
• Strong analytical problem solving and communication with a customer-centric mindset.
• Collaborative, detail-oriented and adaptable to fast-paced environments.

General Overview:

Intelligent Solutions has partnered with a leading insurance company to hire a Senior Data Analyst. This role is responsible for designing building and operationalizing the companys data infrastructure and analytics ecosystem supporting business intelligence across health life marine and aviation lines of business.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Engineering & Infrastructure

• Design and implement scalable ETL pipelines across internal and third-party systems (core platforms TPAs reinsurers CRMs).
• Support the design of data warehouse/lakehouse architectures using modern cloud tools (Azure AWS etc.).
• Develop reusable data models and transformation logic ensuring consistency and reliability.
• Integrate policy claims medical coding and financial datasets for unified reporting and analytics.

Business Analytics & Reporting

• Build automated dashboards and KPIs across underwriting claims finance and customer experience.
• Deliver actionable insights through data visualizations using Power BI or Tableau.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support strategic and operational decisions.
• Develop analytics frameworks for monitoring pricing performance loss ratios and channel efficiency.

Data Governance & Compliance

• Implement data quality checks validation rules and exception handling within ETL processes.
• Maintain documentation on data lineage and ownership.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulatory standards (DHA IFU CBUAE) and audit readiness.
• Data Science & Advanced Analytics
• Prepare structured datasets for predictive modelling (e.g. fraud detection lapse prediction health risk scoring).
• Support model development feature engineering and data enrichment in collaboration with the Head of Data Analytics.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in data science Statistics Engineering Computer Science or related field.
• 57 years of experience in data engineering or analytics preferably in insurance or financial services.
• Advanced skills in SQL Power BI/Tableau and ETL tools; proficiency in Python or R.
• Knowledge of insurance data structures (ICD-10 CPT codes) and regulatory reporting in the UAE.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills with a customer-centric make-it-happen mindset.
• Collaborative detail-oriented and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
