Job description

As APCO continues its evolution from a communications agency to a globally integrated advisory‑first firm, the Chief International Development Officer (CIDO) – who also serves as MENA Chairman – supports this journey by driving international development and regional leadership priorities. We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Consultant with a strong foundation in communications and consulting to support the CIDO across his dual mandate. This role is ideal for a dynamic early‑career professional who combines analytical sharpness with exceptional communication skills, and who thrives in fast‑paced, global, and multi‑stakeholder environments. This is a unique opportunity to gain first‑hand exposure to senior leadership, international business development, and cross‑regional advisory projects – while contributing to APCO’s next phase of growth.

Strategic & Business Development Support
  • Conduct research and analysis on geopolitical, market, and industry trends to inform the CIDO’s international development agenda.
  • Develop briefing notes, talking points, and strategic communications for internal and external engagements.
  • Support the preparation of materials for client meetings, regional leadership sessions, and international forums.
Program & Stakeholder Coordination
  • Assist in coordinating cross‑regional initiatives between MENA, Asia, and other priority markets.
  • Track progress of key projects and ensure timely follow‑up on action items.
  • Maintain effective communication across sector leads, practice teams, and external partners.
Executive Communications & Reporting
  • Draft executive‑level presentations, reports, and dashboards for leadership meetings.
  • Support the preparation of board‑level updates, business reviews, and thought leadership outputs.
  • Ensure consistency of messaging and alignment with APCO’s global advisory‑first narrative.
Special Projects & Internal Incubation
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives such as new market entries, high‑profile summits, and advisory product pilots.
  • Support internal capability‑building efforts, including knowledge management and best practice sharing.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in consulting or professional services.
  • Strong research, analytical and problem‑structuring skills; ability to provide insights clearly.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills; able to communicate complex ideas with clarity and impact.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong organizational discipline and attention to detail.
  • High levels of adaptability, curiosity, and professional maturity to work directly with senior executives.
  • Regional or international exposure, particularly in MENA and/or Asia, is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; postgraduate studies (e.g., international relations, business, communications, or public policy) desirable but not mandatory.
