Job summary

Penspen Ltd in Abu Dhabi seeks a Senior Construction Engineer (Civil) to plan, supervise, and technically control offshore civil/structural construction activities on platforms, jackets, and substations, ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, method statements, and schedules.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in oil & gas offshore projects, strong leadership and communication skills, and solid knowledge of HSE standards and offshore permit systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of oil & gas project experience.
• Proven experience in offshore projects (platforms, FPSO, offshore construction).
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 and offshore safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise offshore civil construction activities per drawings, specs, method statements and schedule.
• Ensure construction activities comply with project specifications and HSE requirements.
• Plan daily/weekly construction activities and allocate manpower, equipment, materials, and work fronts.
• Coordinate construction sequences with structural, mechanical, piping, E&I, commissioning, marine and operations teams.
• Monitor productivity and identify constraints affecting progress.
• Review IFC drawings, civil/structural calculations, specs and construction details.

Job Summary

The role ensures full compliance with company, client, and regulatory requirements, with strong focus on offshore oil & gas project execution.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of international HSE standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001)

• Familiar with offshore safety regulations and permit systems

• Excellent communication and leadership skills
