Job summary

Mc Dermott is seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer – Handover in Dubai to lead commissioning efforts across systems and interfaces. The role emphasizes ensuring project readiness, executing punch lists, and coordinating with project, construction, and operations teams for safe handover and smooth start-up.

The successful candidate will bring 8+ years in oil and gas commissioning, strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems, and proven ability to manage discipline

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 8 years of oil and gas commissioning experience with major contractors or EPCs.
• Strong knowledge of pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing home-office commissioning deliverables and plans.
• Lead site inspections to verify readiness and safety, and manage punch lists.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues during site execution.
• Coordinate with project teams and client representatives to maintain clear communication.
• Support development of operation and maintenance manuals and spares planning.
