Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for a fully remote role based in the United Arab Emirates. You will own core infrastructure, drive end-to-end design, deployment, and operation, and collaborate with security, DevOps, and product teams to build scalable, reliable systems.

You will mentor teammates, influence engineering practices, and tackle complex infra challenges across globally distributed environments, emphasizing security and performance.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or backend engineering, with strong cloud exposure.
• Hands-on expertise managing infrastructure through code using Terraform or equivalent.
• Deep knowledge of cloud fundamentals, networking, load balancing, containers, Kubernetes/EKS, and distributed systems.
• Strong programming skills in Go and/or Python for production software.
• Experience with Redis/ElastiCache and related scaling strategies.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure products or subsystems end to end, from design to production operations.
• Define goals, align work with objectives, and mitigate risks.
• Translate requirements into practical designs addressing edge cases with clarity.
• Build secure, reliable, high-performing, cost-efficient infrastructure for diverse workloads.
• Develop production software and developer tools to improve workflows and reduce toil.
• Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and established patterns.
• Collaborate with product engineering to design scalable services.
• Participate in incident response and systematic debugging of infra issues.
• Improve monitoring and observability to drive stability and performance.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and design discussions.
