Job summary

Technology Innovation Institute (TII) in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate robust CI/CD pipelines and scalable cloud infrastructure.

You will manage Kubernetes clusters, implement GitOps, harness Terraform and Ansible, automate with Bash, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure secure, reliable deployments.

The role emphasizes monitoring, observability, and continuous improvement of DevOps practices within a cutting-edge research environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related STEM discipline
• Any DevOps / Development / System Engineering certification would be a plus

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Drive GitOps practices for deployment and configuration management.
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters (EKS, self-managed, or other distributions).
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible.
• Automate operational processes with Bash scripting and other scripting languages.
• Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth software delivery.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for production systems.
• Manage and optimize deployments in AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, EKS, etc.).
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system reliability, scalability, and security.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of DevOps practices, automation, and team processes.
