Job summary

Technology Innovation Institute invites an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and operate secure cloud and platform capabilities across Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes. Qualifications

• At least 5 years in DevOps/cloud/platform engineering.
• 2+ years operating production cloud or Kubernetes platforms.
• Hands-on Azure production workloads experience.
• Strong Terraform skills with modules, state management, review controls, testing, environment promotion, and drift management.
• Experience with designing, implementing, and maintaining secure CI/CD workflows and release controls.
• Kubernetes fundamentals including deployments, services, config, secrets, access control, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Git proficiency and version-controlled infrastructure and configuration.
• Linux administration, networking, and production troubleshooting.
• Python or Bash scripting for automation.
• Experience monitoring and troubleshooting production services with metrics, logs, and alerts.
• Demonstrated proactive ownership and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, provision, and operate Azure and Kubernetes platform capabilities supporting applications and data workloads.
• Develop reusable Terraform modules and automated provisioning controls to increase IaC coverage and reduce drift.
• Automate platform configuration, upgrades, health checks, backup validation, recovery procedures, and recurring tasks.
• Implement secure CI/CD workflows, GitOps practices, and artifact management using GitLab CI/Jenkins, Argo CD, and Helm.
• Monitor and improve reliability with Prometheus, Elastic Stack, and centralized logging; participate in incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Collaborate with software, data, security, architecture, and infrastructure teams to drive improvements.
