Job summary

AECOM in Dubai is seeking an experienced Civil Inspector to supervise roads and infrastructure works on a major project, ensuring compliance with contract documents and safety standards.

You will liaise with the Resident Engineer (RE) and Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE), prepare daily reports, monitor QA/QC activities, and maintain records of materials tests and site inspections to support project milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering is required.
• RTA Approval is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be familiar with contract documents, drawings, specifications and HSE measures, including updates.
• Ensure contractor compliance with contract standards and specifications.
• Maintain records of contractor resources (human and equipment) and daily activities.
• Supervise site activities as directed by the Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE).
• Liaise daily with the contractor to monitor resources, safety and equipment needs on site.
• Prepare daily reports for the RE/ARE detailing works, materials, deliveries and inspections.
• Implement site instructions from RE/ARE and follow QA/QC procedures.
• Prepare site measurements, surveying checks for pipes, alignments and levels as required.
• Coordinate with client project manager during site inspections with RE/ARE present.
• Monitor QA/QC activities and maintain relevant records.
• Assist RE/ARE in correspondences and site requirements.
• Resolve site problems with RE/ARE promptly and facilitate startup, commissioning and handover.
