Job summary

Tanqeeb in Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly experienced Architectural/Urban Planning specialist to lead development of beaches and surrounding areas. You will plan, design, and supervise infrastructure and public spaces, working with architects, engineers, and regulatory bodies.

The role emphasizes sustainable design, compliance with UAE laws, contract management, and ongoing monitoring to ensure projects meet defined objectives, with a focus on public beaches and coastal facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or urban planning is required.
• Extensive experience in development planning for public beaches or related spaces.
• Proven ability to coordinate with architects and stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of environmental conservation and regulations.

• Plan and design areas targeted for development within public beaches, in addition to assessing and studying the current and future needs of beaches and their surrounding areas.
• Coordinate with architects in planning and designing infrastructure projects that support beach development.
• Incorporate sustainable and international best practices and environmental conservation measures into development plans, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
• Design and develop comprehensive plans for the development of beaches and their surrounding areas, including the design of appropriate public spaces, facilities, and infrastructure.
• Monitor the implementation of plans and projects, evaluate their outcomes, and make the necessary adjustments to ensure the achievement of defined objectives.
• Manage engineering contracts and projects, with technical expertise in the architectural assessment of projects and comprehensive knowledge of the requirements for designing outdoor spaces and public facilities.
