We are seeking a skilled, professional and passionate Senior Barista for one of our cafe based client in Al Ain. This role is central to delivering exceptional guest experiences through the consistent creation of high-quality coffee beverages and a commitment to excellence in service. The Senior Barista will play a key role in maintaining operational standards, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene protocols. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction, precision in beverage preparation, and a professional demeanour, this individual will contribute significantly to the brand’s reputation for quality and service excellence. Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve a wide range of specialty coffee beverages, including espresso-based drinks, cold brews, and seasonal offerings, with consistency and precision.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the bar area, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Manage inventory of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies; monitor stock levels and place timely reorders to prevent shortages.
  • Operate and maintain coffee equipment (espresso machines, grinders, steam wands) with regular cleaning, calibration, and reporting of issues.
  • Train and mentor junior baristas on product knowledge, service standards, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene protocols at all times, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of ingredients.
  • Deliver friendly, efficient, and personalized service to guests, contributing to a positive and memorable guest experience.
  • Participate in daily opening and closing procedures, including setup, cleaning, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with the management team to support operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Respond promptly to guest feedback and resolve service issues with professionalism and empathy.
Requirements
  • 1–3 years of proven experience as a barista in a high-volume hospitality or café environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, including espresso extraction, milk steaming, and latte art.
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices, with certification preferred.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first mindset.
  • Proficiency in using POS systems and basic point-of-sale operations.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, and early mornings.
  • Valid work permit and eligibility to work in the UAE (Filipino or Nepalese nationals only).
  • Immediate availability for joining.
