Job summary

Grant Thornton - UAE in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Associate to lead audit engagements from planning to completion, review financial statements, and deliver technical accounting services while supervising junior colleagues.

You will collaborate with senior staff on client engagements, identify audit risks, apply IPSAS, and use AI, analytics, and data visualizations to drive insights. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong technical accounting skills with IPSAS experience.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of client engagements from planning to completion.
• Prepare or review work papers and drafts of financial statements.
• Draft management reports and client deliverables.
• Participate in audit planning to identify risks and craft strategy.
• Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns.
• Use AI, analytics, and data visualizations to enhance audits.
• Engage with clients and provide improvement recommendations.
• Stay current with industry trends through professional development.
• Work on complex audits and delegate workloads accordingly.
• Utilize audit software and Microsoft Office effectively.
• Demonstrate strong IPSAS knowledge.
• Contribute to group audits as needed.
• Lead projects and supervise staff.
• Willingness to work extra hours and travel.
