Job description
Job Purpose:

The Senior Associate - Accounts Receivable will be responsible for managing and overseeing the leasing transactions recorded in the Leasing system, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient receivables management. The role is crucial for maintaining the financial health and operational efficiency within the retail management segment of Modon Asset Management.

Roles, Responsibilities, Duties:
Financial Management and Reporting:
  • Oversee the recording of leasing and retail transactions in the Farvision system.
  • Ensure accurate billing and collection for all type of receivables.
  • Manage and reconcile accounts receivable ledgers in Farvision and Oracle Fusion
  • Prepare monthly financial reports /schedules relating to accounts receivable.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Computation and posting of ECL calculations / bad debt provisions
Leasing System Management – Far vision:
  • Serve as the primary operator and manager of the Leasing system for retail and leasing.
  • Implement best practices and optimized processes within the FV system.
  • Train and support team members in using the FV system effectively.
Lease and Contract Administration:
  • Review lease agreements and ensure terms are correctly captured in the system.
  • Coordinate with the legal and leasing departments to ensure contracts are compliant with financial policies.
  • Monitor and report on the financial performance of leased assets.
Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Maintain professional relationships with tenants, addressing and resolving billing disputes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure leasing strategies are financially viable.
  • Participate in strategic meetings to forecast revenue impacts from leasing activities.
Compliance and Controls:
  • Maintain adherence to UAE VAT and Accounting standards.
  • Timely response to Internal and External Audit queries and implement recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations applicable to property leasing.
  • Develop and maintain internal control systems to prevent inaccuracies in financial records.
Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance
  • Professional certification in Accounting or Finance (CPA, ACCA, CIMA preferred).
Experience
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a similar role within large asset management or real estate companies.
  • Extensive experience with leasing modules and Oracle Fusion AR Module
  • Knowledge of the retail management industry and associated financial practices.
Other Skills:
  • Strong competency in financial reporting, receivables management, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage complex financial systems and databases, with specific expertise in Yardi.
