Job summary

Audit in Dubai, UAE is seeking a Senior Assistant Audit Manager to lead audits of client financial statements under UAE regulations, ISA and IFRS, and to guide a team of auditors.

The role requires 7–10 years in external audit, 3–4 years in management, CA/CPA or equivalent, strong communication, and Arabic skills preferred. It offers a dynamic GCC environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage audits of client financial statements in compliance with UAE regulations, ISA, and IFRS.
• Oversee and supervise a team of auditors, providing guidance and training to junior staff.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide insights.
• Audit planning, risk assessment, internal control evaluation, substantive testing, and audit completion.
• Manage multiple client engagements, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality services.
• Identify and assess business risks and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Support the audit manager and senior team in planning and execution of audits.
• Understand UAE regulatory requirements including UAE Commercial Companies Law and UAE Corporate Tax.
• Identify significant audit risks and internal control deficiencies.
• Demonstrate leadership and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ensure audit assignments are completed within agreed timelines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage audits of client financial statements in compliance with UAE regulations, international standards on Auditing (ISA), and Financial Reporting (IFRS).
• Oversee and supervise a team of auditors, providing guidance and training to junior staff.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide valuable insights.

• Experience in audit planning, risk assessment, internal control evaluation, substantive testing, and audit completion.

• Overseeing Audit Engagements from planning to reporting, including reviewing the audit work papers, financial statements, and reports for accuracy, compliance, and completeness.
• Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and delivery of high-quality services.
• Identify and assess business risks and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Assist in managing client relationships and ensuring overall client satisfaction.
• Support the audit manager and senior team in the planning and execution of audits.
• Good understanding of UAE Commercial Companies Law, UAE Corporate Tax regulations, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Experience in statutory audits of UAE LLCs, free zone entities, and group companies.

• Identify significant audit risks, accounting issues, and internal control deficiencies.

• Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ensure audit assignments are completed within agreed timelines and quality standards.

Key Qualifications:

• Along with Bachelor’s degree, CA / CPA or equivalent internationally recognised professional qualification is a must.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in external audit with at least 3-4 years of experience in managerial position, ideally with exposure to large or mid-sized clients.

• Practical experience in preparing and reviewing standalone and consolidated financial statements under IFRS, auditing standards, and UAE regulations.

• Strong technical skills with proficiency in auditing software and MS Office applications.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Arabic is highly preferred, with excellence in English.
• Experience in working within a multicultural environment and understanding the business dynamics in the UAE.
