Job summary
AECOM is seeking a Senior Architectural Engineer in Dubai to lead and coordinate architectural design and engineering during construction. You will act as the main liaison among the Site Supervision Team, Contractor, Design Team, suppliers and specialist subcontractors, ensuring timely submissions and approvals and managing interfaces across disciplines.

- 10–15 years of relevant experience in building projects.
- Experience in site supervision and coordination on construction sites.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all architectural design and engineering matters arising during the construction stage.
- Act as the main focal point between the Site Supervision Team, Contractor, Design Team, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Review RFIs, shop drawings, submittals and method statements and ensure approvals are aligned with the programme.
- Ensure detailed submission schedules are prepared and maintained by the Contractor.
- Monitor submission programmes to meet construction deadlines and procurement milestones.
- Identify delays and risks affecting the construction programme and communicate them to the Project Manager.
- Coordinate architectural matters with structural, civil, MEP, landscape and other disciplines to resolve interfaces.
- Lead architectural technical and progress meetings and track outstanding actions to closure.
- Provide regular reports to the Site Line Manager and highlight risks to coordination, progress and handover.

- Review architectural RFIs shop drawings material submittals method statements samples mock-ups technical proposals and as-built drawings.
- Ensure that the Contractor prepares and maintains a detailed schedule for all architectural engineering submissions approvals procurement and site activities.
- Monitor the Contractors submission programme and ensure that all required documents are submitted sufficiently in advance to meet the construction programme.
- Follow up on the appointment and mobilization of qualified architectural suppliers and specialist subcontractors and review their submission and procurement schedules.
- Identify any delayed submissions approvals material procurement supplier appointment or engineering activity that may affect the construction programme.
- Coordinate architectural matters with structural civil MEP landscape façade and other relevant disciplines and resolve interface and constructability issues.
- Lead architectural technical and progress meetings and ensure that all outstanding actions are properly tracked until closure.
- Provide regular reports to the Site Line Manager and immediately highlight any risk affecting design coordination procurement progress completion or handover.
- Ensure that all technical decisions instructions and approvals are properly documented and communicated through the approved project channels.
- Immediately report any unresolved technical matter non-compliance delay or risk to the Project Manager or Resident Engineer( Line Manager).
- Bachelors degree in Architectural Engineering
- 10-15 years of relevant experience
- Previous experience in buildings projects
- Previous experience in site supervision
