Job summary

FMCG Confidential in Dubai seeks an experienced Senior AR Specialist to drive accurate month-end closing, reconcile sub-ledgers, and support provisions and credit loss calculations. You will manage customer payments for key accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure thorough documentation.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, 5–7 years of AR experience including 2 years in a senior capacity, and hands-on experience with Oracle or SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required; CPA/CMA advantageous.
• 5–7 years of AR experience with at least 2 years in a senior AR role.
• Strong knowledge of AR, collections, reconciliations and month-end closing.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end closing activities: AR sub-ledger reconciliation, provisions/expected credit loss support, and GL tie-outs.
• Reconcile customer payments and manage payment-related queries for key accounts including major retail and e-commerce customers.
• Resolve payment discrepancies, short payments, deductions and disputes; maintain supporting documentation.
• Perform and manage intercompany reconciliations, ensuring accuracy with group entities.
• Monitor AR ageing report to ensure timely collections and address overdue accounts.
• Handle Letters of Credit (LCs) and Bank Guarantees (BGs) timely and track documentation.
• Conduct regular customer balance confirmations and maintain AR-related agreements documentation.
