Job summary

ADIB Group in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Android Developer to shape digital products and drive mobile innovations. You will work across the full stack from databases and DevOps to frontend/mobile interfaces, delivering high-quality Android apps for phones and tablets.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of software development experience with Agile teams using SCRUM.
• Extensive mobile development experience using Android Studio and Gradle to build phone and tablet apps.
• Extensive experience with Android SDK Google Play Services and Android Compatibility Library.
• Experience in Android development patterns including Java OOP MVP SQLite JSON/Rest APIs and multi-threading/background tasks.
• Experience with Android front-end/UI development (Google Material Design) and REST/JSON connectivity.
• Experience with common Android libraries such as Dagger2 Retrofit2 etc.
• Experience with build tools such as Fastlane
• Expert knowledge of using and writing Android Libraries
• Extensive experience deploying apps to the Playstore
• Extensive experience with TDD and unit/UI testing using JUnit Mockito Espresso
• Experience with code coverage and JaCoCo
• Experience converting high-fidelity designs to mobile UI (InVision/Zeplin)
• Experience with Git workflows, Atlassian JIRA/Confluence, and crash debugging
• Experience with mobile CI-CD (Jenkins or similar) is preferred
• Excellent programming in at least 2 modern languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, C/C++, Python)
• Infrastructure knowledge: RESTful APIs, SSO, LDAP
• Experience with design patterns and scalable, secure apps

Responsibilities

• Use Agile engineering practices to rapidly develop creative, efficient solutions enhancing customer and employee experience
• Collaborate in a cross-functional team to craft user stories, design tests, prototypes, and deliver product enhancements
• Liaise with teams inside/outside Digital to negotiate timelines, deliverables, and dependencies
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Designers, and team members to identify and socialize product and delivery risks
